Of all things to suddenly get popular, cupcakes are by far the weirdest.
First off, there’s nothing new to get excited about. We’ve all been eating cupcakes since Tim Tam’s (real person) mom brought them to school in first grade for his birthday.
Secondly…they are just cupcakes! Sure, they’re good if you like cake. I’ve always been more of a fan of ice cream, but whatever.
Is it the fancy new decorations that did it? Are they suddenly tasting even better?
Like most trends, inevitably there will be a backlash. I’m curious to see what a backlash against cupcakes looks like.
EDIT: It looks like I’m not the only one to question the popularity of cupcakes.

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.
Mr Bush, whose second and final term as President ends at the end of the year, then left the meeting at the Windsor Hotel in Hokkaido where the leaders of the world’s richest nations had been discussing new targets to cut carbon emissions.

Have you guys heard about this? The whole situation is pretty ridiculous. The short version is a UCF student went to mass, recevied the Eucharist then left without eating it. Doesn’t sound like a big deal to me but since the church says this small bread wafer becomes the body of Christ after being blessed, Catholics across the country became furious.
Not only did church members grab and try to physically block the student from leaving the church, but he started receiving death threats! Church officials made statements declaring this a hate crime, comparing it to kidnapping a family member, and calling for the students expulsion.
The student returned the wafer to end the death threats but his ordeal isn’t over since he may still be expelled (the school has been backing the church). In the mean-time, armed guards are now present at every mass.

So we watched UFC86 this sunday morning. I’m gonna pull the race-card here because there’s no way in hell that Forrest won against Quinton. Two judges even had Forrest winning the 1st round, that’s retarded. And apparently it’s better for the UFC to have a white american champ over a black one… good for business. Ok, I’m not seriously thinking that the decision was based on race, but it was still bullshit and everyone that watched the event with me agreed. Can’t wait for the Affliction card on the 19th now.

If you have ever worked at a IT company with several departments you’ll love this video. I used to work as a web-designer at a place in Malmö, Sweden. We were somewhere in between the sales people and the system admins on the ladder. The sales people were always creating a mess for the tech guys. Personally I’m always on the side of the tech guys… At least til it’s time for the afterwork drink.
